Why we start with a phone call
Making a phone call to someone you don't know can feel like a big step, especially if you're not used to talking about how you're feeling. But it's an important step to make sure you get the right kind of support, without wasting your time.
The call helps the Medicare Mental Health professional:
- understand which service might be right for you
- support your safety and wellbeing, especially if things have been building up
- match you to the best support options for what you're experiencing
- recommend other options if Medicare Mental Health Check In isn’t the right fit for you.
Remember, you're always in control
On the call, you can share as much or as little as you want, ask questions, and take a break. You can also end the call at any time.

Is this for me?
